INTRODUCTION

Southlands is an established and privately-run residential care home for the elderly and elderly persons with past or present mental illness (EMI). Founded in 1984, the home is located a quarter of a mile from Redhill town centre. Southlands is owned and managed by the proprietors, each with over 20 years' experience and expertise which covers most fields of nursing, though specialising in the care of the elderly. It is a late Victorian Grade II listed building with lots of character and has been extensively modernised to care for our residents. Care is provided on either a short term, long stay or daily basis. We are registered by Surrey County Council and we conform with the latest government, health and safety and fire regulations as laid down by the Registered Homes Act 1984.
As this may be our residents' home for the rest of their lives, it is essential that they are happy and their quality of life is as high as can be attained.
