INTRODUCTION

Southlands is an established and privately-run residential care home for the elderly. It was founded in 1984 and is located a quarter of a mile from Redhill town centre. Southlands is owned and managed by the proprietors, each with over 20 years' experience and expertise which covers most fields of nursing and the care of the elderly. It is a late Victorian property which has been extensively modernisd. Care is provided on either a short-term, long term or daily basis.

The Home

We are registerd with the commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) this is a national body that regulates care homes in England. We also conform to all of the latest government health, fire and saftey regulations. We provide long term care for people age 60 years and older for all genders. We are registered for 19 residents, 7 of which can be suffering with mental disorder (MD), 5 of which can be suffering from dementia. As this may be our residents' home for the rest of their lives, it is essential that they are happy and there quality of life is as high as can be attainable for them
